Endangered Alphabets

Endangered Alphabets is the story of the Endangered Alphabets Project, an attempt to draw attention to the endangerment of minority cultures, especially those with endangered languages and/or writing systems. The Project is also an essay in wood and on paper: the carvings illuminate a multitude of issues concerning writing, culture, technology, globalism, spirituality, and identity, and this book puts those questions, and that continuing investigation, into words.
