Family Trees Bear Strange Fruit

Set in a small southern town in the 1940's and 50's, this short story explores how hatred and bigotry can tear families apart. Josephina "Jo" Brown hasn't seen her family in about ten years, not since she eloped with a black man. When Ruth, the one sister who still talks to her, tells her about their father's death, the past comes back to haunt Jo. Can Jo find a way to reconcile the past and forgive a father she both loved and hated?
