Featuring 100 different designs, from 30 manufacturers in 15 different countries across the world, this book follows the creatives, studios, and emerging labels who approach footwear as a design discipline. Hundreds of meticulously photographed shoes, prototypes, and process details celebrate the sneaker as an object shaped by craft, technology, sustainability and use. Trail and outdoor designs sit alongside experimental manufacturing, each offering a distinct response to a key need. Interviews and conversations trace the stories behind these projects, from development constraints and production choices to the question of longevity.
