Dixie Talley had known Shane Lowell practically forever. She'd watched him marry, become a father, and struggle through the painful end of his marriage. Somewhere along the way, they'd become friends. Good friends.

Dixie wasn't about to settle for something temporary. Not with two little children involved. Not when her own family was still recovering from the upheaval of long-lost parents returning and four younger sisters suddenly becoming part of her life.
