Love Bomb

After half her life away, Rona Dalgliesh has come home to the highlands—to blow up a Victorian folly.

This is a problem for three reasons:

·      The phallic folly is a historic listed building, and she can't legally do anything to it without permission—let alone destroy it.

·      Her money-grubbing parents are contesting the will to get their hands on the folly.

·      She only knows one demolitions expert and she's pretty sure he hates her.

Now, she has a week to talk her preteen crush into destroying a local landmark, in an act that might land them both in jail. How hard could it be?

When Bain MacGregor opens his door to find Rona smiling up at him, he isn't sure whether to run and hide or call the local cops.

Before her parents had dragged her from Invertary when she was fourteen, Rona had been his tiny stalker. A short, irritating shadow, with orange frizzy hair and braces. Adoring and annoying him in equal measure—and cockblocking him at every turn. At eighteen, Bain had been glad to see the back of her.

Now the demon is back.

And she's still short.

Although the frizz has been replaced by ringlets, and the braces are gone. And more disconcertingly, she no longer looks like a stick insect.

She has curves… Which are irrelevant because she wants him to risk jail to blow up a damn folly. And it isn't going to happen.
