Alison Fraser was born and brought up in the far north of Scotland. She studied English literature at university and taught maths for a while, then became a computer programmer. She took up writing as a hobby and it is still very much so, in that she doesn't take it too seriously! She currently lives with her husband, children and dogs in Birmingham, and is in her early forties – she doesn't know what she want to be when she grows up!
