Publisher Description
Origin is a poem I wrote to experiment with non-rhyming structure. It has a narrator who, apparently a visionary, informs an unseen customer how they came "to be".
This poem is 15 stanzas of 4 lines each. The first odd lines of each stanza have 8 syllables each, the even lines having only 6 syllables each. There is no factual accented syllable count and no truly discernible rhyme scheme. This was a challenge as I do love accented and rhyming poems.
The structure of this poem provides for 6 chapters. Each stanza has had its lines split-apart in order to preserve the intent (the pacing) of each line, and thus each line may be given its own page; there may be instances, however, where managing the evolution of the poem in your mind, some lines have been split into multiple pages, or, multiple lines of a stanza remain on the same page (making it so a page is not necessarily equal to the count of lines of a stanza).
