Scents of Romance

Where rules are not involved and everything seems so right,

You know it’s love for certain, a feeling of sheer delight.

Should a list of conditions be set, even if it’s small,

Unconditional love it isn’t, it isn’t love at all!

For when I sat in the darkness with a broken heart indeed,

You came and hugged me tight and said, “Love is what you need.”

Love is simply amazing, I’ve understood this now –

Love cannot be measured with where, when and how.

And then, that’s when our journey of love began. We wanted to be with each other so bad that we could have gone to any heights, but the world wished otherwise. 

Can love overcome all boundaries or will the world crush its spirit? Only time will tell.

Scents of Romance is a collection of poems that expresses the pain and longing of lovers who want to unite.
