Seibert v. Mintzes

James Seibert (Seibert), currently serving three life terms at the State Prison of Southern Michigan upon jury convictions for armed robbery, kidnapping and assault with intent to commit murder, here appeals from the denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Although Seibert here raises only two of the eight bases for relief presented to, and denied by, the district court, this Court is precluded from addressing the merits of the instant petition and is compelled to order its dismissal.
