Fresh out of the bug-infested shambles of Motor City, ex-cop and physical adept Brianna Wyatt was looking for a change of…well, everything. That's how she found herself halfway around the world in the Gobi Desert, about to take part in the televised combat show Desert Wars.
 

But Brianna soon learns she is far, far away from Detroit and the UCAS. From inter-squad rivalries to publica relations events with the local populace, she must navigate an entire new world of training, relationships, and, of course, combat for the delight of a bloodthirsty audience.
 

And while the bullets aren't real, some opponents take the fighting entirely too seriously…and if Brianna isn't careful, the televised battles of Desert Wars could claim her as a very real casualty…
