Publisher Description

This case presents the question of whether the Commissioner of Labor of Alaska erred by concluding that certain individuals performing services for Tachick Freight Lines, Inc. ("Tachick") were employees rather than independent contractors. Tachick and its chairman, Mr. R. W. McKenzie ("McKenzie"), argue that the hearing before the Department of Labor was procedurally inadequate, that the Labor Departments decision was erroneous, and that the decision is unconstitutional.
