When a shipment of paintings arrive at the gallery where Maeve works, she sturggles to figure out who sent them. The bill of lading says Lewin, her last name, and one is a portrait that looks exactly like her. When she calls her father he's evasive, mumbling something about her strange mother who he has always maimtained was dead.
