Looking at Leandra Rollins, you'd probably think that she had it all, and for the most part, she did. She had a job that she loved, a best friend that couldn't be matched, and a very healthy trust fund as a safety net. Her looks were also something else to envy, and everywhere that she went, she wasn't short of attention, whether she wanted it or not.

Still, despite all the positive things in her life, there was still some bad, and mainly in the form of her toxic mother. Granted, as a grown adult, she had the power to limit her interaction with her mother, but when that didn't work, life could be trying. Plus, if that wasn't enough, she was also in love with the one man on the planet that hates her, and she still doesn't know why.

Looking at Dalton Summit, you'd probably think that he had no problems. After all, the man had two jobs that he loved, a best friend that he absolutely adored, and his grandparents were the best people around. In fact, when you considered that his parents had been drug addicts, his life had turned out a lot better than most people would have expected.

Still, despite how well his life had turned out, nobody's life was perfect, including his. Though he had no real complaints to write home about, he was still struggling when it came to relationships, something that was entirely his fault, and his fault alone. See, unfortunately for him, the heart wants what the heart wants, and his wants a woman that he can never have.

In a perfect world, Leandra Rollins wouldn't care so much about what Dalton Summit thought of her, but she did, and as much as she tried to move on from him, she couldn't. To make matters worse, every encounter that they have is more disappointing than the last.
