A New Leaf

How much courage does it take to start again?

Professional photographer Andrea Carlton has portrayed many people's lives but seems to be never good enough for the people in her own. When winning a major award sparks a fiery clash, Andrea knows she has to finally take a stand against the so-called loved ones who have undervalued her.

Adrift after choosing herself for once and with finances tight, Andrea accepts a lifeline from fellow outcast, her uncle Arthur; the space to breathe and time to regroup on his farm near Hope Springs.

Arthur's wise counsel, a visit from new elderly friends Colin, Joyce and Shirley and learning about farm life help Andrea to gain perspective.

But her new rhythm and peace are short-lived. After a loss shakes the ground she's been building on, Andrea must decide if she can fight for the freedom and independence she's tasted. With everything upended, what does the future hold and who can she trust as she picks up the pieces again?

A New Leaf is a deeply moving story about the courage it takes to put yourself first and start over, and the strength found in believing you are good enough.
