When Tammi Morrow stumbles across an alien in the off-limits part of Sabine National Forest, she's more interested in why Domino Sim has a business card printed in English than she is in the fact that his skin is slate blue. They spend the entire summer together, but when his assignment on earth is unexpectedly cut short, Tammi spends the next 15 years trying to meet the requirements for inter-galactic communication. If she fails to help mankind become advanced enough to merit the attention of Domino's people, she may never see him again.
