Oshali y Tyomar son los protagonistas de esta historia de amor plagada de aventuras y peligros.
Oshali está formándose para ser Guardián y durante los últimos 7 años ha sido la encargada de informar a Tyomar, uno de los hermanos drakorai.
Tyomar fue el que la trajo al santuario siendo bebé y siempre se ha sentido responsable de ella.
Pero ahora que Oshali ha decidido emprender un viaje a las tierras de la reina del sur para recuperar algo para los guardianes, él no duda en hacer de guardaespaldas, algo que a Oshali no le hace mucha gracia.
El la ve como su mate, como su elegida, pero ella no lo cree y no quiere ser el entretenimiento de Tyomar mientras busca a su mate real.
Oshali es muy terca pero Tyomar es muy persistente y no duda en usar todos sus recursos a su alcance para convencerla de que su sitio es a su lado.
