Descripción editorial
John Locke was an English philosopher and physician who became known as the Father of Classical Liberalism. Locke influenced many other famous philosophers including Voltaire and Rousseau. It is believed that his writings may have also influenced the founding fathers as his ideas on republicanism and liberal theory are reflected in the United States Declaration of Independence.
In Locke’s A Letter Concerning Toleration he promotes religious tolerance for all denominations and discusses the problems that existed between religion and government in England at the time. A table of contents is included.
