Biological invasions cost the world economy hundreds of billions of dollars every year. This textbook deals with the global issue of alien invasive plants. The first chapter addresses the extent of the problem worldwide and highlights the ecological and economic damage caused by plant invasions. Additional chapters will be added as updates and will deal with such issues as how plants become invasive and what can be done to combat the problem.


The author has a doctorate in invasion ecology, has published in international peer reviewed journals, and has addressed international conferences on this topic.
