Descripción editorial
INTRODUCTION Malaysia has decided to focus on the logistics sector as part of its policies to meet global challenges. This is because one of the challenges faced by Malaysia is to develop competent human resource, equipped with the right knowledge and right skills in logistics (Tenth Malaysia Plan 2011-2015, 2010; Third Industrial Master Plan 2006-2020, 2006). Views from Afiouni (2007) and Khandekar and Sharma (2005) state that competent and knowledgeable workforce are factors that contribute to the competitive advantage in organizations.
