Who we are

The Lifeboat Fund is a charity that exists for one purpose: to help the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) - the charity that saves lives at sea. Over many years we have done this by raising money to pay for new lifeboats, refurbishing lifeboat stations and boats, and buying crew kit, equipment & training for RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards.

The Lifeboat Fund 150th Anniversary Appeal

The 150th Anniversary Appeal seeks to fundraise £1.1m towards the cost of a Shannon - the latest class of all-weather lifeboat, designed in-house by the RNLI and using cutting-edge technology to meet the demands of a 21 century rescue service.

At the cutting-edge of digital publishing, APS has produced a truly beautiful eBook commemorating the disaster which beset the east coast town of Eyemouth, its families and fishing community in 1881. Sometimes the elements hold sway and this heartfelt and true account of the disaster reminds us why the RNLI is a special charity for so many, including all those who fundraise for The Lifeboat Fund.

The publisher and all the other individuals and organisations involved in the creation of the eBook have kindly gifted their work on the eBook to The Lifeboat Fund.  The full balance of monies raised after the deduction of seller's discount will be given to The Lifeboat Fund.
