Bats in the Future

When four youths from Central City venture into the "inbetween" area, they cross an invisible boundary where only a few types of animals have survived. There, they come upon a creature who will change their lives. Faced with a society that rejects animals as "unclean," the group encounters human survivors of the age before. By accepting what society has cast aside, the four gain an awareness and freedom which comes to them on the wings of bats.
