Design in Canada

Design in Canada is a comprehensive, 50-year survey (spanning the period of 1950 to 2000) of objects created for the home (furniture, lighting, consumer electronics, etc.) -- all designed by Canadians.


Co-authored by Cora Golden and Rachel Gotlieb, Design in Canada was sponsored, in part, by the Design Exchange, Toronto. This  award-winning reference book was originally published in hardcover in 2001 by Knopf Canada, and re-issued in softcover in 2004 by Key Porter Books, both in Toronto. Both hardcopy editions are now out of print.
