Tahr, the last of the silver dragons, carries the burden of finding a mate to break the ancient curse. He hails from the noble lineage of royal silver dragons, a lineage marred by his uncle Drakon's deeds, which triggered the curse that has plagued their kind with anguish for millennia.

Pepper, a mute human, was brought into the dragon realm during her childhood. She formed a close bond with Tahr's previous bride, who imparted knowledge and experiences to Pepper that were uncommon for human servants in the dragon domain. Pepper harbors a fervent dream: to transcend her human form and embrace the essence of a dragon.

However, her daring act of entering Tahr's chamber and laying a hand upon his chest sets off a chain of events with fatal implications.
