Eminent Victorians

Lytton Strachey was a British author and critic.  On top of writing widely read books such as Eminent Victorians and his biography on Queen Victoria, Strachey is also famous for being one of the founding members of the Bloomsbury Group.

Eminent Victorians, published in 1918, is a book containing biographies of the four prominent figures from the Victorian era: Cardinal Manning, Florence Nightingale, Thomas Arnold, and General Gordon.
