Filthy Rich

The very first time I saw Brooke at the coffee shop, I couldn't take my eyes off her.
Like a stalker, I watched to see where she worked so I could find her again.
I don't know how I knew she was someone special, but I did feel it that very first time, without a doubt.
It wasn't until our paths crossed a second time and she spoke to me that my world tilted.

I soon learned Brooke came from a world completely different from everything I had ever known in the privileged circle of New England high society in which I was raised.
I did not care that we came from vastly different worlds and backgrounds.
When I discovered we had an old family connection, it became clear that this was so much more than a chance meeting bringing us together in the same space at the same time.
It was fate.
She was also the very first woman I'd ever met who was completely underwhelmed by my wealth and status.
So I made her an offer to redesign my home, because what sane, broke British girl turns down a job that will solve all her financial worries overnight?
Thankfully, she didn't turn me down.
But fate or not, Brooke wasn't looking for love or anything else she might get from me because she'd learned the hard way just how much damage the wrong guy could do.
What started between us as a silly flirtation over a plate of meatballs quickly turned into an all-consuming passion and the obsession to make her mine.
