Good Nursing Care for Older Nursing Home Clients in a Nordic Context (Short Papers) (Report‪)‬

Introduction To work as a registered nurse (RN) in a nursing home is not always attractive to, for example, newly graduated nurses, although this kind of work has been described as exciting, varied and rewarding, due to the long term relations with the clients (1). But many RNs are not satisfied with their working situation in nursing homes (2), and it may, therefore, be difficult to recruit new nurses to this field. The ageing population is an important global issue, especially for the work of RNs (3), and in a Nordic context, organisational and structural changes have altered RNs' work situations and roles in municipal care, where older people often are cared for (cf. 4, 5).
