Hasan Basri

Descripción editorial

Hasan Basri was an early Muslim preacher, ascetic, scholar and mystic. He belonged to the tabiun (companion of the companions of the Prophet), and rose to become one of the most celebrated Muslims of the time. He preached against materialism and in this regard his teachings to this day have great relevance for us. He was considered an expert scholar of Islamic sciences. His passionate sermons touched people's hearts and often moved them to tears. When his advice was sought, he would fearlessly speak his mind in front of rulers and people of authority. He was a guide, a preacher, a reformer and an orator. He is a shining role model for Muslims of all times.
