In Covenant with the Shepherd of Our Souls

For all who have entered into the unique, eternal covenant with the sole living God, Christmas, in its essence, is the remembrance of, and reflection upon, the ultimate gift. The giving by our God - once, for all people and for all time - of His only Son to dwell amongst us as one of us changed the world forever, completed a covenant initiated two thousand years before, provided the one requisite sacrifice, and lit the path unto salvation for the people of all nations. Tracing the actions and words of great men and women of faith throughout Scripture, In Covenant with the Shepherd of Our Souls seeks to prompt that remembrance and reflection, which can bring peace to the heart, joy to the spirit, understanding to the mind, and action to faith.


Armour spent much of his life in the Middle East. Afoot, in the saddle, aboard felucca, boat and ship, and driving roads both crowded and known and remote and unmarked, he traversed the cities, ruins, deserts, hills, mountains, and waters of the lands of the Bible. He is a freelance writer and itinerant preacher and lives in the Mojave Desert of northwest Arizona with his wife, Rachel.
