In the Light of the Midday Moon

I was working in a neighbour’s garden when the birds went silent. In the sky was a huge red moon... and I knew it meant the end of the world. There would be a tidal wave, and I needed to get to the mountains. What I didn't know is that the moon wasn't natural... This is a short story of around 3000 words by Ray Jaxome.
