"Isn't it cold in the winter?‪"‬

In 2003 we bought an inflatable dinghy. It would be a purchase that would completely change our lives. Six years on we bought Edith, a Sagar Barge, and moved on lock, stock and cat. We constantly meet people who are interested in buying a barge or are just curious about our diverse way of life and as live-aboard boaters we are always asked "Isn't it cold in the winter?" which has resulted in this book. From the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal, River Severn and the Severn Estuary we travelled the Kennet & Avon Canal and River Thames, marvelling in the beauty of the English countryside and revelling in life on the water. This book is about our story and what it is actually like to live on a Dutch Barge in the UK.
