Descripción editorial

Kaisergemse (German, literally meaning 'imperial chamois') is an autobiographical novella based on a scrupulously honest true story. Richly illustrated with authentic photographs, it details the first 22 years of the Author's life while sharing a rather unique mountain-climbing experience in Central Austria, where he was vacationing with his ageing parents in August, 1986. Following the 1956 Hungarian rebellion, the Author was jailed at age 14 for anticommunist 'crimes', and thus became the youngest political prisoner in the history of Hungary. At age 20 he escaped to Italy via Yugoslavia, and thus broke through the Iron Curtain. After another series of improbable 'adventures', he was granted political asylum in West-Germany, yet as soon as he could, he took up residence in Miami, Florida. However, because of the Vietnam war and likely draft, he ended up settling in Canada. This is an original literary work written in April 1987, first published in September, 2007.
