Joseph Jacobs (1854-1916) was an Australian folklorist who collected and published English fairy-tales and legends. His intention was to popularize English folklore legacy throughout the world. Jacobs was an active member of the Society of Hebrew Literature and wrote works that were dedicated to persecution of Jews.
This fairy-tale tells us about a king who had a daughter named Anne. And his new queen had a daughter as well, her name was Kate - we two girls enjoyed spending time with each other. But Anne was much prettier than Kate and the queen hated her for that. So one day she she got an idea how to do that…
