Descripción editorial

One hot afternoon in August 1966, two young brothers are playing catch in the open field next to their home in rural Western New York when a small airplane skims over the treetops and crash lands nearly on top of them.

The pilot, a 16-year-old runaway on a personal mission to fly the experimental homebuilt plane from Oswego, NY to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, enlists the aid of the brothers to repair the aircraft and get back in the air.

Over the ensuing week, the boys are swept into an unexpected adventure in which they find themselves at odds with parents, law enforcement, local bullies, and nature in a race against time...
