Marco Goes East

Perched on his favourite rocky cliff, Marco the dragon looks out at the horizon and wonders where he might find the magical forest of his dreams. Lifting off and out into the unknown, we follow Marco as he flies east, in Shelley Low’s colourfully illustrated world, to the Gardens by the Bay.

A modern wonder that opened in 2012, the Singaporean domed gardens are full of beautiful flowers, lush greenery, trees and waterfalls. The story – a modern fable written by John Koh and Adelia Yeo – featuring such landmarks as the Taj Mahal, the Parthenon, the Great Sphinx and Pyramids of Giza, ends with Marco happily at home in his magical forest.
