Of Dandyism and of George Brummell

Dandies were men who placed a particularly high value upon their physical appearance and fashion, or how they were turned out. Often, they styled themselves as gentlemen despite coming from a middle-class background. George "Beau" Brummell was the leader of this group in Regency England.
