The house was empty. Nothing moved, not even the dust mites in the air. In one room, there was a picture, but the molding layers of dust made it impossible for anyone to see what the photograph was. The house had been undisturbed for years, weathering down the old cottage with each new sunrise and sunset. The house would peacefully have been forgotten and quietly washed away by time if one young man hadn't taken a wrong turn through the woods.
