Private Roads In Autumn

Charles Rough has written creatively for longer than he cares to remember. Most of his writing has been part of a lifelong quest (and passion) to find the perfect word, line, sentence, or paragraph in a poem, short story, novel, or historical account that best expresses the truth that he seeks to discover for himself, and to share with the reader.
Most of the time, in his humble opinion, he has struck out, discarding much of what hes written to his version of the literary-scrap heapa voluminous old file that serves as a constant reminder of his own literary mortality. Occasionally, he hits one out of the ballpark, but hes more than willing to leave it to the reader to determine if thats true, or just a case of the author deluding himself at a ripening age.
Rough lives in Northern California with Patty, the love of his life, and their four very spoiled dogs. Private Roads in Autumn is his first published book.
