Quietly Into the Night

Quietly Into the Night is a short story I wrote as a Creative Writing Assignment during my senior year. This story was inspired by a long discussion I had with my Astronomy teacher about our solar system and how there were so many tiny things that had to happen just right for us to be here.



I wanted to write something in which one of those tiny things had gone wrong, and our number had finally come up. This short story is my way of showing how despite all the horrible things man is capable of, when our luck finally runs out we can come together and work towards preserving our humanity.
