Research and Evaluating iPad in Learning
Descripción editorial
As mobile devices, like iPad, become more common in classrooms and schools there is a growing demand to better understand the impact these devices are having on learning. This interactive Multi-Touch book has been designed and written for school leaders and teachers who are new to the principles and practices of researching and evaluating technology for learning. It supports school leaders and teachers in exploring their existing pedagogical practices with iPad which subsequently forms the basis of a rigorous investigation to answers questions that are identified as puzzling but important to resolve.
The book is highly practical in its orientation and along with the accompanying iTunes U course it illustrates school leaders and teachers can use a mobile device like iPad as a research instrument to collect, analyse and disseminate research and evaluation findings. But it is more than a ‘tips for researchers’ guide book. It combines a robust and internationally recognised mobile learning framework (the iPAC framework) with evidence informed examples and scenarios that the authors have identified in the existing research literature or drawn from their own research and experiences in the field of mobile learning.
