Riot at Iron Mountain is about a woman’s penitentiary located at Iron Mountain Michigan. The story involves inmates who are fed up, with the way, they have been treated and fed, which leads to a riot where the women take control of part of the prison.

The story takes place in 1938 during the Punitive Era of prison development. Found within this story are elements of betrayal, murder, scheming and criminal deviousness. There is no happy ending in this realistic telling of life in prison.

The tale has been described as “Hard-boiled” by others, the author lets you decide for yourself after reading this story. Included in this tale is the backstory behind the story.
