Roman Britain in 1914

Roman Britain, previously known as Britannia, was a province of the Roman Empire from 43 to 409, taking the southern three-quarters of Great Britain.

But, this book won’t bother you with all the history regarding the Roman Britain. Instead, it will present the remains of Roman Britain discovered in 1914.

The book is divided into three sections. The first section gives a retrospect of the findings made in 1914, as much as the author is aware of. In the second section is presented more detailed and more technical overview of the inscriptions found in Britain in 1914. The third, the longest, section is a summary of books and articles dealing with Roman Britain that appeared in 1914, or have that date on their cover.

At the end of the book, you will find a list of English archeological and other publications, added by the author, that contain articles related to Roman Britain.
