Spirometry Essentials for Medical Assistants Part I: the Rationale for Testing (Article 314‪)‬

Introduction While results from certain lab tests require only a biological specimen to gain results, spirometry testing results require a high degree of patient understanding and cooperation. Getting results that accurately reflect the patient performing the test comes with understanding the essentials of spirometry. This three part series has been developed to guide the medical assistant to higher level quality results through a better understanding of the test and the testing process.
