The Devil and Tom Walker The Devil and Tom Walker

Descripción editorial

In the dark woods of New England, the miserly Tom Walker makes a fateful bargain with the Devil, trading his soul for wealth beyond measure. As his fortune grows, so does the shadow of his doom, and no amount of cunning can escape the inevitable.
Washington Irving’s The Devil and Tom Walker is a haunting tale of greed, corruption, and the price of one’s soul, steeped in the eerie folklore of early America.
WASHINGTON IRVING [1783–1859] was an American author, historian, and diplomat.
