THAT a holy man, whom many of his followers called an Incarnation of God, lived in recent years near Calcutta, is one of the surprises of our time. Not only that. The most surprising thing about the matter is that I should go straight back from America, of the twentieth century, and find his followers leading their medieval life right in the center of modern progress.
