The Silent Boy is about a teenage boy named Jackson who is being abused constantly by his mother Jane. After his father leaves his family, Jackson is stuck with a drunk and abusive mother. He withstands years of abuse before he finally snaps and has enough. This story shows the darker side of reality from a child’s perspective. Jackson makes shocking choices that will impact his life and his mother’s life forever. Through it all, his best friend Mark is by his side

Jd was born in Bakersfield, California. She enjoys listening to all types of music, anything from classical music to musicals. She played basketball in high school. Jd describes herself as a protective sister, cousin, auntie, daughter, and granddaughter. Her ideas from this book are not from personal experience, but they instead stemmed from her thoughts as a freshman in high school.
