Taken from the original court transcript this volume covers the proceedings from 14th to 24th May, 1946 and represents an essential primary source for scholars and general readers alike.
This volume continues the trials against Walther Funk, the Reichminister of Economics and that of Admiral Karl Doenitz, head of the Kriegsmarine containing the testimony of Günther Hessler, a German U-boat ace, in defence of the Ubootwaffe.
Also included within this volume is the trial of Erich Raeder, Doenitz’s predecessor, who resigned in 1943.
This volume includes the testimony of witnesses Dr. Emil Puhl, acting as a witness. Puhl was the director and vice-president of the Reichsbank during the war. Additionally the testimony of Carl Severing, who was among those responsible for the rearmament of Germany in the inter-war period.
