The Waitress

From New York Times bestselling author Karen Robards, a twisty thriller about a waitress suspected in her manager's disappearance while hunting for the truth about her own past in an elite coastal town.

What she doesn't know could get her killed.

When Haley Moore’s car dies on a pitch-black road in Camden, Maine, she leaves her injured manager, Kristin, waiting inside and sets off for help. But upon Haley’s return, the car is empty except for a pool of blood. New to town—with a past she’d rather keep buried—Haley is an easy suspect. But she has a more terrifying theory: the killer took the wrong woman.

Haley didn’t come to Camden just for its prestigious Summer Artist Program. She came to find someone hiding among the old-money families on Cliff Walk who holds the key to her earliest years. Her only ally is Josh Fleming, a handsome mechanic with secrets of his own. But the closer they get to the truth, the more certain she becomes that someone is watching her every move. And they want her dead.
