Shannon Woodard's TREATED LIKE SHIT is a short collection of stories based on the tragic and unfair side of love. Whether it's from the perspective of self-love or love from others it's not always the beautiful thing Hollywood and our dreams paint it to be.

From Jess's parents running off the love of her life due to their personal opinions of him in “What's Best for You" to "Reflections", a story about a girl feeling unworthy of her parent’s love, these stories deal with real situations that seem to get forgotten. "Treated Like Shit" and "Got Help" follow the story of a girlfriend who struggles to know how to help her drug addict boyfriend. Does she try to stop him from shooting up and fear that she'll only make things worse or does she just sit back and say nothing and watch him drive himself to suicide.
