Two luckless spacemen find themselves running short on fuel, and must search for a cache of fuel on a planet that hasn't seen visitors for years. When they land, they encounter a ferocious and even barbarous populace who call themselves "warriors." The much needed fuel is kept in a sacred shrine, and the men must find their way beyond an armed warrior tribe to get the fuel.
