Excerpt:

“What the fuck’s your problem, Chris?” Jules crossed her arms and stared at me. A sneer twisted her face. “Ever since we got here, all you’ve done is get drunk and look at other girls. I mean, the drinking is one thing. I’m sure I’m just as guilty of that, too. But do you really have to stare at every set of tits and ass that walks by? Especially while you’re with me? That’s just not right.”

I was having none of it. Jules may have had a point, but she had her own set of wandering eyes. “Don’t talk to me,” I said. “You have some nerve. Remember the guy last night? You actually grabbed his package? Or how about all the guys who, after you had a few too many wine coolers, had their butts grabbed?”
“That’s different!” She scowled. “I was trying to get back at you!” She squeezed her eyes shut. “I’ve had enough. You know, even before spring break, I was growing extremely sick of your bullshit. Go fuck yourself, Chris.” She stormed off, only to stop momentarily. She glanced over her shoulder. “By the way, good luck in finding a ride back to school this Sunday.”

I watched her walk away. There were a few things that went through my head. The first was: Well, fuck you too! As I watched her weave through the party, a slight bit of regret coursed through me. We both were more than just a little bit tipsy, but neither of us were raging drunk, yet. To my slightly beer addled brain, the sight of her long, curly brown hair with platinum highlights – and her ass in tight jeans – made me remember of all the hot, angry sex we’ve had together. Which goes without saying: Jules always had a quick temper, and if I just gave her some time, she’d cool down. We’d have a rational discussion, and both of us would admit that we were equally wrong, and life would go on. Plus, I doubt she would actually maroon me Florida at the end of spring break. Jules could be bitchy at times, but she was never that vindictive. Still, even though I could see some reasonable light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, that didn’t stop me from stewing and sulking. I finished my bear and I went to the cooler for another.

Part of me wanted to escalate matters with Jules, too. I glanced around the party, realizing how many beautiful college coeds were around me. The house itself was actually rented by a sorority, which made it infinitely better than sitting in a bar or at a small-time room party back at the hotel. Still, my body language and demeanor would have cock blocked me anyway. So, I just stood around while drinking.

That’s when a weird thing happened. A redhead in a black miniskirt started making out with a guy in a football jersey. I tried not to watch. In fact, I found it irritating. Why couldn’t they just get a room? This was a house party, after all. There had to be plenty of bedrooms upstairs where they could get their freak on in private. However, the redhead didn’t seem content with man’s tongue. Grinning, she got to her knees and pulled down the guy’s shorts and underwear .. .
